The foundation hopes to identify more patients with a mutation in the ATP6AP2 gene that may be undiagnosed presently. The foundation’s research and disease models could benefit numerous CDGs as they further understand mechanisms and disease pathways of glycosylation disorders. The target therapeutic could provide CDG and LSD patients with potential treatment and their research in measuring efficacy of said therapeutics could elucidate other diagnostics.
